Pecco Bagnaia took pole position at the Grand Prix of Emilia-Romagna. On the Misano track, the Ducati centaur signed the new track record, stopping the clock in 1'30"031. Behind the reigning world champion was the Ducati Pramac of Jorge Martin, 2 tenths away, and the other official Ducati of Enea Bastianini, 5 tenths away.
Second row for Brad Binder (KTM), Pedro Acosta (GasGas Tech3) and Marco Bezzecchi (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team). Only the third row for Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing), who crashed at Turn 3, scattering from seventh position.
Closing the top 10 are Maverick Viñales (Aprilia), eighth, Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha), ninth, and Franco Morbidelli (Ducati Pramac), tenth.
