Alex Meret in the pits for at least a month
Bad news is coming from the infirmary for Antonio Conte. The Napoli coach, in fact, will have to do without Alex Meret for at least a month. The instrumental examinations to which the Parthenopean extreme defender underwent showed a second-degree sprain to the long adductor muscle of the left thigh.
"Alex Meret è underwent instrumental examinations at Pineta Grande Hospital, which showed a second-degree sprain to the long adductor muscle of the left thigh. The Azzurri goalkeeper has already begun the rehabilitation process" this is the statement issued by the Neapolitan club.
The former Udinese goalkeeper is expected to remain in the pits for at least a month and will miss the matches with Palermo (Coppa Italia), Monza and Como in the league and will work to return after the break for the match with Empoli. However, the Napoli medical staff would not plan to take any risks and should have the player back for the challenges with Lecce or Milan, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 26, or Tuesday, Oct. 29.
While waiting for Alex Meret’s full recovery, it will be Elia Caprile who will defend Napoli’s goal.
