After Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev, Carlos Alcaraz è the third tennis player to qualify for the ATP Finals, scheduled for Nov. 10-17 in Turin, Italy. For the Spaniard, this is the third consecutive qualification for the penultimate major event on the tennis calendar, before the Davis Cup Finals, set for Nov. 19-24 in Malaga.
The world number three will play for the second year in a row at Turin's Inalpi Arena since he was forced out in 2022 due to an abdominal injury. In the last edition of the ATP Finals, the four-time Slam champion è was eliminated in the semifinals by Novak Djokovic, who later won the title.
After his success with Team Europe in the Laver Cup, Alcaraz will return to the court in the Beijing ATP 500 where a non-trivial first round awaits him against young Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, world number 51. Also busy at the 'China Open' will be Jannik Sinner, who will debut with Chilean Nicolas Jarry, number 29 in the ATP rankings.
