The Return of Toprak Razgatlioglu

Toprak Razgatlioglu is preparing to return to the track in the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship after his crash in FP2 at Magny-Cours. The Turkish rider will take part in the first session of the weekend at MotorLand Aragon and his condition will be re-evaluated at the end of FP1 at the Tissot Round in Aragon returning to action after missing six races due to injury and with the margin in the standings that has è shrunk to 13 points.

Razgatlioglu è crashed in turn 14 during FP2 at Magny-Cours. The 2021 world champion hit the crash barriers in turn 15 and è was taken to the medical center and then to the hospital for further investigations at the end of which è was declared unfit due to a pneumothorax flap. In addition to the French Round, he also missed the Round of Italy in Cremona to return to form as soon as possible.

Razgatlioglu gave an update on his physical condition: “It has not been an easy four weeks for me. After the crash I watched the races on television, trying to come back as soon as possible. Finally, here we are. Today for me was not è easy since I felt stress, it seemed I had more than in 2021 when I fought for the world title! I am fit and tomorrow morning I will go down on the track. I am really happy. For me è incredible. I can’t say if I’m 100 percent ready since it’s been four weeks since I’ve been riding a bike and training. I simply rested”.

Razgatlioglu believes his body is ready to ride a motorcycle again: “Now I am fit and my body è 100% but I haven’t trained. I’m waiting for the first session since it won’t be easy for me after so long without getting on the bike. I hope the feeling will be good right away”.
