Simone Inzaghi: “I got the answer I wanted.”
Simone Inzaghi fully satisfied
Speaking to the microphones of 'Sky Sport' after Inter's 4-0 win over Red Star in the Champions League, Simone Inzaghi è dwelt in particular on the performance of the two strikers who started today as starters, Mehdi Taremi and Marko Arnautovic, both of whom scored goals. Especially awaited was the scoring of the Iranian, who had so far scored only in friendly matches.
"They are working very hard and deserved a chance like this,” Inzaghi said.
They did not, however, play well only them, we have many players in the squad who play a little less but give positive signs every day. I do not let myself be conditioned if I need to make turnover. Lautaro’s condition? He took a bump at the end, the classic 'oldie': it should not be anything serious".
"I have to congratulate all the boys who took the field tonight,” added the Piacenza coach. “Red Star was lined up very low, aimed to defend but we found the right spaces and almost never risked. We wanted to follow up the performance shown against Manchester City, I got the response I wanted".
The next Champions League challenge will see the Nerazzurri face Young Boys in Bern on Oct. 23. This will be followed by home matches with Arsenal on Nov. 6 and Leipzig on Nov. 26, an away match at Leverkusen on Dec. 10 and one with Sparta Prague on Jan. 22, and finally the San Siro match against Monaco on Jan. 29.
