Three days after the Tigot's A1 Series debut, Numia Vero Volley Milan falls in four sets (25-15, 23-25, 18-25, 19-25) against Igor Volley Novara in the Ferrari Memorial. In a Pala Igor that for the occasion reopens its doors to the public, Lavarini dà space to wide rotations committing all the athletes at disposal.

The 9 points of Cazaute (top scorer of hers) combined with the 8 of Marinova, Sylla and Heyrman are not enough: the Piedmontese conquer the seventh edition of the tournament dedicated to the memory of Novara entrepreneur Giampaolo Ferrari. Orro and her teammates started off strong, winning the first set; after a hard-fought second fraction in favor of the hosts, Novara took the lead and made the third and fourth sets theirs as well.

Lavarini starts with Orro, Cazaute, Sylla, Daalderop, Heyrman, Danesi and Fukudome. The first set slips quickly in the hands of the Milanese thanks to a great start of the match by captain Orro (2 aces in the first set) who finds in Cazaute, Sylla  and Heyrman  heavy points to close the contest. In the next two sets Novara raised the level of exchanges and first evened the score with a hard-fought 25-23, then took the lead thanks to an inspired Ishikawa, top scorer of the match with 18 points. In the last fraction, coach Lavarini shuffles his cards but is unable to trouble the hosts, who close the match and win the Memorial 3-1.

Now è time to think about the first day of the championship for Vero Volleyball, scheduled Sunday, Oct. 6 at 4:30 p.m. at Pala BUS Company in Villafranca against Wash4green Pinerolo.
