Roma, Ivan Juric claims penalty and calls for more anger
One message about refereeing decisions, another to the team.
Roma and Ivan Juric far from satisfied in Monza after the 1-1 draw in the Brianza land. In the post-match press conference, in particular, the Giallorossi coach è dwelt on the penalty not awarded by referee La Penna for a contact between Kyriakopoulos and Baldanzi. An episode on which the judgment of ds Florent Ghisolfi had also been very harsh.
"The images speak, sometimes è it is difficult to accept certain decisions. The director said it all. Whether è it is right to have a referee from Rome direct the match? To this question I do not answer", Juric ruled in the press conference. Earlier Ghisolfi had told 'DAZN': "I am not in the habit of complaining about refereeing, but tonight we saw something unacceptable. Everyone saw the foul on Baldanzi, so why didn't the Var è intervene? We demand that towards Roma there is respect".
Juric then focused on his Roma’s performance: "We played a great game. We built chances ourselves, and we allowed Monza very little. I am very sorry for the result and also for the penalty not given", his words.
There'è però some improvement that Juric hopes to see in the team: "In these five games Roma raised their level, I am very satisfied. We have to grow and become more rabid, we need some healthy ignorance, some nastiness when you find the goal after missing seven eight chances".
