In the third round of the Masters 1000 on the Shanghai cement Jannik Sinner, world number 1, beat Argentine Tomas Martin Etcheverry, number 37, in a comeback with a score of 6-7 6-4 6-2.
The first break point has to be saved by Sinner on 3-3 in the first set, the South Tyrolean misses one in the next game and then also misses two consecutive set points on 6-5. It goes to the tie-brea in which Etcheverry operates the decisive stretch at 4-1 with double minibreak and wins 7-3.
From 2-2 in the second set the breaks flowed: there were three in a row, two in favor of Sinner who from 3-3 stretched to 5-3 and shortly afterwards extended the match by holding serve to zero.
