Milan: Paulo Fonseca wobbles but does not fall, for now
Trust is there'è still, but it could end in the course of a handful of weeks.
AC Milan soccer: Paulo Fonseca è and will remain the rossoneri coach even after the chaotic defeat suffered on the field of Fiorentina. Indeed, the Meneghina management held the players more responsible for what happened at the Franchi than the Lusitanian coach. Whose position, però could be re-evaluated already during this same autumn.
Taking stock of the internal situation at AC Milan was 'SportMediaset' which on Monday reported on the reflections of Furlani, Moncada and Ibrahimovic on the events in Florence. The three executives blamed the knockout against Fiorentina on the players and their personalisms, acknowledging, però that Fonseca failed to counter this climate of "self-management".
At the moment it is the players who have to answer for their actions (starting with captain Theo Hernandez), with a call from the Milan management for more maturity and a sense of responsibility. Despite four defeats in nine matches this season, however, Fonseca’s bench does not appear to be in the balance at the moment. But even that could change in the not-too-distant future.
According to 'SportMediaset', Furlani, Moncada and Ibrahimovic have demanded maximum cooperation, collaboration and responsibility from all Milan components (starting with players and coach). The intention, however, is to move forward with the current group, but decisive could be the upcoming Serie A break in November. If even at that point the climate in the Rossoneri environment remains as agitated as it is today, then a change of coach may not be ruled out.
