Jasmine Paolini record-breaking: no one like her
Jasmine Paolini continues to write records in this remarkable season. After yet another doubles triumph with Sara Errani in the WTA 1000 in Beijing, the Italian hit the top 10 also in the doubles rankings for the first time in her career.
The Tuscan tennis player, in fact, gained as many as six positions and is in ninth place, two steps lower than her partner Sara Errani, who occupies the seventh position. Currently Paolini è the only tennis player in the top 10 in both the singles and doubles rankings.
In the singles ranking, however, Paolini lost one position and è dropped to sixth place. The Italian, in fact, è been surpassed by the U.S. Coco Gauff, who è climbed to fifth place thanks to the title she won at the WTA 1000 in Beijing.
As for the other Italian players, Elisabetta Cocciaretto gains one position and climbs to 54th place, Lucia Bronzetti loses eight positions and falls to 85th place, three steps higher than Sara Errani, in 80th place.
