"I am really excited to meet Jannik again. Lately I tend not to look at the scoreboard, I just took a look now, but before I took the court I didn't know who I might face. Playing with one of the two or three best players in the world is always a great opportunity. Right now he è the number one and won two Slams, so I expect a great challenge" began the American tennis player.
"I have fantastic memories related to last year’s victory here against him. Must have watched clips a couple of times this year. I can't wait to get on the court, it's going to be a lot of fun" added the world number 16.
"I think I served very well, probably è it was the best day of the year serving for me. I did a good job exploiting the important moments in my favor and getting the break when I had to. If I can serve with the same precision as today and get a break a set, I know I can be in a very good position even against a player like Sinner. I like the way my game is evolving. I have been very decisive in the climaxes" Ben Shelton chipped in.
