Cremonese starts again with Eugenio Corini
Eugenio Corini returns to coaching after six months of inactivity;
Cremonese announced on Wednesday that it had entrusted Eugenio Corini with the role of coach, following Giovanni Stroppa's dismissal in the aftermath of the third winless match between the league and Coppa Italia. Born in 1970, Corini returns to coaching after six months of inactivity: in fact, at the beginning of April his adventure at Palermo had ended.
"U.S. Cremonese announces that it has entrusted Mr. Eugenio Corini with the position of coach of the first team – reads the note circulated through the official channels of the company -. The technician has signed an agreement that binds him to the grigiorosso club until June 30, 2025".
As a coach, Corini boasts a promotion with Brescia at the end of the 2018/2019 season. He also boasts a much more than decent career as a footballer, wearing the jerseys of Juventus, Chievo Verona and Palermo, among others, for a total of more than 600 appearances among professionals. He won, in 1992, the European Under-21 Championship with the national team of that category led by Cesare Maldini.
Cremonese has announced that Eugenio Corini will be officially presented to the press on Thursday, Oct. 10, at 11:30 a.m. in the conference room of the "Giovanni Arvedi" Sports Center. The first commitment on the calendar è scheduled for Sunday, October 20 at 3 p.m., when the grigiorossi will face Juve Stabia away.
