Shanghai: Novak Djokovic drops a set then folds Jakub Mensik

Novak Djokovic went the distance and qualified for the semifinals of the Shanghai Masters 1000. The Serbian tennis player, in fact, overcame the young Czech Jakub Mensik in a comeback with a score of 6-7 6-1 6-4.
In the first set, the world number four placed the first break in the ninth game, però the Belgrade native failed to be cynical enough and the 2005 class immediately placed the counter-break and extended the match to the tie-break. Djokovic starts strong right away, but Mensik does not give up and first recovers the Serb then closes the games on 7-4.
The former world number one's reaction, however, was not long in coming, as he dominated the second set far and wide, putting it away with a peremptory 6-1.
In the third set, Djokovic became relentless on his own serves and in the fifth game he placed the decisive break, which he held until the final 6-4.
In the semifinals, the Serbian player will face Taylor Fritz, who defeated Belgian David Goffin in the quarterfinals with a score of 6-3 6-4.
