Sirene bianconere for Daniel Maldini
Daniel Maldini in Juventus’ crosshairs
There'è also the name of Daniel Maldini among those Juventus is considering, according to a report by 'La Gazzetta dello Sport', for the January market, when the management could move to redefine a set-up inevitably altered by Arek Milik's physical problems. The striker, heir to the soccer dynasty that began with Cesare and continued with Paolo, is doing well with the Monza shirt, so much so that he has earned a call-up to the national team.
For Daniel Maldini, it would be a return to a big one after his time at AC Milan: his debut in the Rossoneri è took place in the 2019/20 season, but with the jersey that his grandfather and father wore, winning trophies all over the world, he did not è manage to take the same satisfaction. A Scudetto è arrived, in 2021/22, but essentially as a supporting player, with only 8 league appearances and one goal to his credit.
Since then, Maldini jr è rebuilt himself by accepting to go on loan first to Spezia, then to Empoli and again, from January 2024, to Monza: with the Brianzoli è he scored, in the last months of the 2023/2024 season, 4 times in 11 games, convincing CEO Adriano Galliani to redeem him and make him totally biancorosso.
Now forò things could change further, although Maldini is not the only striker Cristiano Giuntoli is evaluating: another idea is linked to a center forward who, like the former Milan player, has been able to recover after a difficult period, Lorenzo Lucca of Udinese. A lot will depend, however, on Thiago Motta's needs, since they are two rather different strikers: Maldini è faster and also suited to the role of supporting a more advanced forward, Lucca è on the other hand, a center forward with a traditional setup.
