Sunday morning Jannik Sinner will face Novak Djokovic in the final of the Shanghai Masters. The San Candido champion torpedoed Tomas Machac thanks to a score of 6-4 7-5, the Serb, on the other hand, passed the Taylor Fritz's test with scores of 6-4, 7-6 in just under two hours of play.

To be kept an eye on the physical condition of Djokovic, who suffered a back problem in the final of the second set.

Between Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic there have been seven meetings to date. The Serb leads the balance of direct clashes with a 4-3 advantage. What stands out even more is the fact that Djokovic has won three of the last four confrontations. The last chapter of this rivalry was written at the end of January, in the Australian Open semifinals, where Nole prevailed in a hard-fought match.
