A single event, however historic, has changed many perspectives to some extent.

Marc Marquez è returned to victory in MotoGP during the 2024 season, winning first the Aragon Grand Prix and then the San Marino Grand Prix in Misano Adriatico. Two feats, after years full of difficulties, that former colleague Jorge Lorenzo followed with great interest. So much so that it aroused feelings in him that the Mallorcan himself admitted he had never felt before.

"This è was the first year in which I felt some nostalgia towards MotoGP – indeed, Lorenzo admitted, speaking openly on his personal podcast -. In the last four or five years I did not miss my past life as a rider. In fact, I was very happy not to race anymore. This year, however, things have changed a little bit".

The reason è just the sporting resurgence of Marquez, in particular for the victory experienced at home. "In Aragon I was there,” Lorenzo recalled, “I could see with my own eyes the other riders, the crowd in the stands following them. Then I also saw Marc, who was enjoying with his team a new victory. These are all sensations that I will not feelò ".

Lorenzo has not had a MotoGP race since the conclusion of the 2019 championship, raced for Honda and studded with disappointments for him. Since then he è briefly devoted himself to a testing role for Yamaha, then returned to the MotoGP environment but only as a pundit for 'DAZN'.
