Incredible Jannik Sinner: a space record unites him with only Roger Federer
Unbelievable Jannik Sinner: a space record unites him with only Roger Federer
Among Jannik Sinner’s crazy records, one particular one stands out: the Italian tennis player has at least won a set in all 71 matches played so far in 2024. In fact, the formidable South Tyrolean tennis player has not lost a single match this season without dropping a set: an incredible statistic that brings him closer to only Roger Federer, who in 2005, the year of the Swiss star’s domination, set the record that is still unbeaten.
That season King Roger won at least one set in all 85 matches he played; a record unprecedented since 1990 and never beaten, at least so far. Sinner to reach and break Federer’s record will have to play at least 14 more matches winning at least one set.
Sinner will not participate in the Vienna tournament but will instead take the court for the Paris-Bercy Masters 1000. From Nov. 10 he will be busy in Turin for the ATP Finals, then there will be Davis Cup.
Before these two engagements he will be in Saudi Arabia for the Six King Slam exhibition tournament, which will see him face other tennis greats such as Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, Holger Rune and Rafael Nadal.
