Olimpia Milano, the new “sports life” of Pippo Ricci

Ricci è has always been one of those players who puts himself completely at the service of the team. In his fourth year in Milan, the former Virtus Bologna è always adapted to Coach Messina’s basketball credo. Even when he played little, he never stopped giving 100 percent, proving to be a valuable element.

This first slice of the season sees him much more involved than in the past. Accomplice also to Nebo's injury, the blue (since this year co-captain of EA7 along with Shields) is getting more minutes on the court and, more importantly, also a different role. Against Brescia, he always played as a small forward.

Coach Messina seems intent, in some games, to field a very tall (and physical) quintet. To do this best, he uses Ricci as a number 3. His rebounding skills, unique to a great perimeter danger make Ricci ideal for this technical choice.

For his part, the 33-year-old Ricci, an idol at the Forum, continues to do what he has always done: give his all on the court to help his team win. Exactly as it happened against Brescia where he è distinguished himself for some key plays to bring home the sprint victory. At 33, Ricci è ready to do anything for the good of Olimpia.
