Six King Slam: Jannik Sinner-Daniil Medvedev 6-0 6-3

Jannik Sinner gives Daniil Medvedev no chance in the opening match of the Six Kings Slam. Indeed, in the exhibition tournament in Riyadh, the South Tyrolean overwhelmed his Russian rival with a peremptory 6-0 6-3 in just 68 minutes of play.

Sinner got off to a strong start right away and snatched service from the world number five. The Italian has no trouble confirming the break lead and in the third game he repeated it. The world number one è relentless and in no time he flies to 5-0 and in just under thirty minutes closes the games at 6-0 on fourth set point.

In the second set, è again the South Tyrolean placed the first extension in the fifth game. Medvedev, for his part, has the opportunity to get back into the match in the eighth game, but Jannik è superlative to nullify as many as four counter-break balls and hold the serve. At that point it becomes just a formality for the South Tyrolean to close the score at 6-3.

In the semifinals, Jannik Sinner will find again Serbian Novak Djokovic, whom he defeated a few days in the Shanghai Masters 1000 final with a score of 7-6 6-3.

The Arab tournament has a staggering prize pool to put the ATP to shame. For participation alone, each tennis player receives a fee of $1.5 million. The winner, however, takes home as much as $6 million. A monster figure when you consider that, winning Wimbledon, you receive a check for $3.6 million.
