Jannik Sinner got off to a perfect start in the opening match of the Six Kings Slam in Riyadh against Daniil Medvedev. The South Tyrolean, in fact, dominated the first set, imposing himself 6-0 over his Russian rival.
The South Tyrolean got off to a strong start and wrested service from the world number five. The Italian has no problem confirming the break lead and in the third game he repeated it. The world number one è relentless and in no time flies to 5-0 and in just under thirty minutes closes the games at 6-0 on fourth set point.
The Arab tournament has a staggering prize pool to put the ATP to shame. For participation alone, each tennis player receives a fee of $1.5 million. The winner, however, takes home as much as $6 million. A monster figure when you consider that, winning Wimbledon, you receive a check for $3.6 million.
