MotoGp arrives in Australia for the fourth-to-last round of the 2024 World Championship, twelve months after a rather troubled 2023 edition, with the calendar revolutionized due to bad weather. In the end only the Gp was run, bringing it forward to Saturday, while the Sprint Race was cancelled: Enea Bastianini, who last year came tenth, certainly wants to do better in this edition.

"Racing at Phillip Island è always something fantastic – said the Ducati rider -. The layout of the track è very beautiful and è a very fast track. Last year, because of the strong wind, we had to move the GP to Saturday, while the Sprint, which was scheduled for Sunday, was eventually cancelled".

"I am looking forward, therefore, to a full weekend this year in Australia – added Bastianini, fresh from second place in the Sprint and fourth in the Gp in Motegi -. So far, we have been fast and competitive on almost all tracks; therefore, I aim to start off on the right foot here as well and get a good result".

Bastianini è to his last races in the official Ducati team: next year, the rider from Romagna will goà to settle in KTM finding as a box mate Maverick Viñales, while the seat left free in the official team of the Borgo Panigale manufacturer will beà taken by Marc Marquez.
