Roma, Ivan Juric goes direct on Paulo Dybala
Ivan Juric does not lose faith in Paulo Dybala
The week-long break for national team activity could not have come at a better time for a Roma side that, after the defeat at home to Elfsborg in the Europa League and the draw at Monza in the league, was showing more than a few difficulties. To Corriere dello Sport, forò, coach Ivan Juric è said he was confident for the resumption of the season.
The Croatian coach, among other topics discussed, è went rather straightforward on the Dybala issue: the Argentine, so far, has played only three times more than 45 minutes, on August 25 against Empoli, on September 15 against Genoa and on September 22 with Udinese. In Monza 'La Joya' was absent due to injury.
"When he plays è a marvel, but we have to put him in his place,” commented the coach who, last Sept. 18, took the place of the exonerated Daniele De Rossi, “he has to find continuity; unlike last years. Maybe he won't play every game but the goal è fix him muscularly".
Paulo Dybala è at Roma since the 2022/23 season: stopped often due to injury, he has nevertheless proved several times that he is decisive, so much so that he led the Giallorossi to come close to victory in the 2023 Europa League final (the disputed penalty shootout defeat against Sevilla). At the end of August, he gave up his move to Saudi Arabia, but the negative moment he is experiencing has rekindled questions about his future.
