Jannik Sinner beats Novak Djokovic again and flies to final at Six Kings Slam

Just four days later, Jannik Sinner beats Novak Djokovic again. After his success in the final at the Shanghai Masters 1000, the world number one repeated in the semifinals of the Six Kings Slam, an exhibition tournament on Riyadh’s indoor concrete. 6-2 6-7 6-4 was the final score in favor of the’South Tyrolean after nearly two and a half hours of play.

Sinner gets off to a great start and breaks Djokovic already in the second game at the third useful chance. The blue confirmed the lead (3-0) and repeated the break advantage in the eighth game, which coincided with the close of the first partial, won 6-2.

In the second set Sinner gets off to a bad start and loses serve in the opening game. Djokovic confirms the lead and goes up 2-0. The reaction of the blue, however, è immediate: counter-break to zero and hooking at 2-2. From that moment, the service games flowed quickly until the three-break, dominated by the Serb who won it by 7 points to 0.

The third partial begins with an exchange of breaks. In the seventh game Sinner once again takes the serve away from Djokovic, who, however, does not give up and rejoins the blue at 4-4. He needed a new and decisive break in the ninth game for the South Tyrolean to close on the 6-4 final and fly to the final where he will face the winner of the Spanish derby between Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal, engaged in the other semifinal.
