Jannik Sinner is off to a strong start in the semifinals of the Six Kings Slam as well. In his exhibition match against Novak Djokovic on his debut in Riyadh, the world number one took the first set 6-2 after only 26 minutes of play.
Sinner gets off to a great start and breaks Djokovic’s serve already in the second game at the third useful chance. The blue confirmed the lead (3-0) and repeated the break advantage in the eighth game that coincided with the closing of the first partial, won 6-2.
The Arab tournament has a staggering prize pool to put the ATP to shame. For participation alone, each tennis player receives a fee of $1.5 million. The winner, however, takes home as much as $6 million. A monster figure when you consider that, winning Wimbledon, you receive a check for $3.6 million.
