Charles Leclerc doesn’t give up: his plan to fight for the title
The rainbow dream è still in progress.
Charles Leclerc continues to bet on himself and Ferrari for the 2024 world titles that Formula 1 has yet to award. Despite his -86 from Max Verstappen and the Reds’ -75 from McLaren, the Monegasque believes in a double recovery in the standings within an extremely balanced championship.
"Regardless of the position at stake, I will continue until the end to fight to the maximum. This è obvious,” Leclerc said in the Austin Thursday that opened the programs toward the U.S. Grand Prix. “A driver must always give his best on the track, whether he is fighting for fourth place or aiming to win. And I always want to win, that will be my mentality until the end of the championship".
And Leclerc did not make any calculations, admitting forò that he dreams of a late comeback in the fight for the title: "We would need a lot of luck' of luck. But we have to try to finish first in as many races as possible, at which point we would see what the standings would look like and make a broader reasoning".
One goal on which Leclerc believes most, however, è the constructors’ title to Ferrari. "True è that McLaren is going away in the standings, but the chances è of us catching up are more realistic. Never say never, until the end we will try. Austin represents the first test for our latest upgrades, and although there are already developments in view of 2025, our concentration è all on this championship", guaranteed the Monegasque.
