Marc Marquez leads at Phillip Island but remains cautious
Marc Marquez remains cautious
Marc Marquez dominated the’only practice session of the Australian Grand Prix (morning free practice cancelled due to bad weather). At the Phillip Island track, the Cabroncito è first practically all the time, especially at the end of the session with an almost record-breaking time.
"I always adapt quickly to the conditions of a track, but surely the others will improve and from tomorrow we will all be closer – stressed the Spanish rider to the official channels of the Gresini Racing team -. Qualifying will tell" quite a lot about the possible sprint and race".
"Alex è was very fast and without my mistake on the last lap he would probably be ahead of me today. It è wasnè t an easy day, you had to attack every lap and the’new asphalt è however a factor especially on Fridayì" commented Marquez.
In second place came his own brother Alex: "Maybe è it was one of my best laps ever. I took advantage of Marc’s reference in the first two sectors and then I put my own spin on it. I had feeling with the bike and the circuit and that gives us hope for the weekend despite everything. I don’t know whyé this year on the more left-handed circuits everything seems to work better, but good soé. È obvious that the penaltyà of Sunday, considering the positive feelings, weighs more; but we will get over it".
