Max Verstappen, the controversy continues: new dig at the FIA
The controversy continues, the shenanigans too.
Max Verstappen remains Formula 1’s race leader, despite not having picked up victories in any of the last eight rounds of the championship, but more importantly he continues his controversy with the FIA. Ahead of his return to the track weekend for the U.S. Grand Prix, the Red Bull Dutchman è presented himself to the press Friday reiterating that he wanted to talk as little as possible after the problems that arose in Singapore.
"For me, the situation has not è changed,” Verstappen reiterated.
What I have to do è talk less, and so I will;. Everyone canè have their own opinions, but as I have already said I think that whatè happened is all a big nonsense. At this point he may or may not answer the questions he gets; it depends on how complicated they are".
The reference è to the sanction pre-announced by the FIA and whose terms have not yet been clearly defined: community service at the expense of Verstappen’s own, because of language deemed too scurrilous at the Singapore Grand Prix weekend in Marina Bay.
Verstappen è therefore presented himself at the Austin press appointment with a sì polemical, but not aggressive attitude. Even when faced with the prospect of a direct confrontation with FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem. "My willingnessà to exchange a few words is there&39;è always. Right now, forò I don't think I am the one to take the initiative to contact these people. I continue to live my life, nothing è changed for me", the Red Bull driver's closing remark.
