A kick to stereotypes: LND promotes pathway on equal opportunities in sports
Comparison Day in Milan
That of Tuesday, Oct. 22 è was a day of discussion, in Milan, on the theme of equal opportunitiesà in sports and beyond: the context è the partnership between Area Responsabilità Sociale della Lega Nazionale Dilettanti and L’Oréal Italia, who wanted to give space to stories of women in sports and their ability to overcome barriers.
"It's crucial to have the support of realities like L’Oréal Italia to send the right messages,” said Luca De Simoni, LND CSR Coordinator, who was present at the L’Oréal Conference Room in Milan along with Simone Targetti Ferri, Sustainability Leader Director, Renata Iadevaia, HR Director-LDB and Head of DE&I -to increase the growth of the women’s movement. There'è need for recognition and identification for girls who want to approach soccer. I am happy with the comparison that è arose with the stories of courage and passion of the female soccer players in the short film 'Above the Barrier'. They are examples that can also inspire other stories".
"Like L’Oréal, we don’t just play the game, we want to change the rules of the game. Talent has no gender and together we want to go 'Above the barrier' of stereotypes. We stand by women’s soccer because we believe in a future where passion and merit win, not prejudice" added Targetti and Iadevaia.
At the end of the work, which was also attended by Venezia 1985 soccer player Agata Centasso, one of the protagonists of the project 'Above the Barrier', the program included the installation of a soccer goal, small in size, to reiterate the difficulty for a woman to become a soccer player, kicking stereotypes. The claim of the’activation è was 'for a woman to make a goal in the world of soccer è like making a goal in this goal'".
Finally, the day was framed by the opening of the photographic exhibition “Above the Barrier”, conceived by the Amateur League’s Social Responsibility Area as a project that acts as a pendant to the short film of the same name, curated by Bonfire. The photographic journey tells and celebrates stories of female soccer players through the shots of Mattia Crocetti.
