F1, Fernando Alonso: celebratory helmet for a great achievement
1981 class, won the World title in 2005 and 2006
Fernando Alonso è unstoppable. At 43 years old, he still has the fire in him. You can tell by the drive he puts in every time he takes to the track in his Aston Martin. The season is not bringing him much satisfaction, but the Spaniard continues to give his all, trusting in a decidedly brighter future.
On Sunday, in Mexico, he will celebrate the 400 GPs raced in F1. A remarkable milestone that will be celebrated with a helmet specially designed for the occasion with all the highlights of his very long career. Space, of course, to the two World titles won, always on Renault, in 2005 and 2006.
Fernando Alonso certainly does not feel "old". He will be racing for two more years and, with Adrian Newey driving him in Aston Martin, he hopes to crown his biggest dream, which is to win, for the third time, the F1 World Champion title.
Meanwhile, he is about to celebrate 400 GPs in F1. Of these he has won 32, with also 106 total podiums. On Sunday he will become the first driver in Formula 1 history to have driven 400 GPs in his career. Impressive to think that his debut in the circus è occurred back in 2001 with Minardi at the Australian GP. More than 20 years later, è still on the track with a big dream to realize.
