Bologna-Milan postponed to a date to be determined
Now it è official: Bologna-Milan, a match valid for the ninth day of Serie A, è has been postponed to a date to be determined. After trying to find an alternative venue for the match between the Rossoblù and Rossoneri, which was supposed to be played on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 6 p.m. at the Renato Dall'Ara stadium, the Lega Serie A, at the end of an urgently convened Board of Directors meeting, decided on the postponement.
"An incomprehensible decision,” said AC Milan President Paolo Scaroni at the end of the League Assembly, “Mayor Lepore banned the match behind closed doors. I did not understand whyé but in the face of the Mayor's order we lower our heads".
Claudio Fenucci, CEO of Bologna, speaks of "organizational difficulties, as well as solidarity" for the affected families. In the future we would like the stadium to be full, to allocate half of the proceeds for the emergency. A date can be found before April".
It is difficult to speculate on a make-up date for Bologna-Milan. With both clubs engaged in Champions and Coppa Italia, to which must be added the Diavolo's commitment to Riyad in January for the Italian Super Cup, the first useful date would be April 3, but much will also depend on the path of the Rossoblù and Rossoneri in the Italian Cup and Europe.
