MotoGP, Thailand: Pecco Bagnaia feels moreù close to Jorge Martin
World champion Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia è finished fourth in pre-qualifying for the Grand Prix of Thailand at the Bururam circuit and feels quite satisfied with how è the first of the three-day weekend went. Here are his words.
"This morning è went very well, in the afternoon I got a very good start but then we had a little set-up problem with one of the two bikes that slowed me down a little bit. That caused us to be a little bit late. The time attacks went pretty well, I was able to make a good step forward despite not having a perfect lap. Positive balance, a little bit troubled”.
“I look strong compared to everyone, Martin in my opinion had a quieter afternoon today and did a good job with the medium and hard, so è more ready in terms of the race, but we will see tomorrow. I had confirmation on the fact that this è a track that for braking and inputs suits me better than Phillip Island. Jorge last year won here and è still strong, but we are definitely closer and this track è closer to my riding style”.
These, on the other hand, are the words of his teammate Enea Bastianini, third: "I found that if you pinch the white line there'è no grip. For the rest the session è went well, in the afternoon I went better and in the time attack I felt comfortable while there is still something missing on the pace. We are close to the best and we are getting there: the bike pivots a little bit in front but we know how to intervene".
