Di Lorenzo is enough: Napoli by measure over Lecce

Napoli made no mistake with Lecce. At the "Diego Armando Maradona", in fact, the Parthenopeans imposed themselves on the Salentini 1-0 thanks to a goal by Giovanni Di Lorenzo in the last twenty minutes of the match.

The first big chance è for Napoli on 26’: Ngonge concludes towards the goal finding an excellent reflex of Falcone. On the rebound Oliveira ventures, who strikes badly serving unintentionally Di Lorenzo who inserts into the net. The referee, however, cancels everything for offside of the blue captain.

At 34’ comes the reaction of Lecce with Baschirotto and Gaspar who see denied the joy of the goal respectively by a super intervention of Meret and a defensive closure of Buongiorno.

In the resumption è immediately the newly-entered Politano to scare the Salentini, as at 61’ Banda lands on the Blue exterior and hits him with his head in the penalty area. After a consultation with the VAR, the match director let the game continue.

At 73’ the forcing of the hosts is repaid: on a corner situation, McTominay soars a header and engages Falcone, who canò nothing on Di Lorenzo’s tap-in. Lecce threw itself forward in search of an equalizer, but it managed to make itself dangerous only with a turnaround conclusion by Dorgu, which did not frame the goal mirror.

Thanks to this success, Napoli remains firmly at the top of the standings with 22 points, while Lecce remains second-to-last with 5 points.
