Mexico, McLaren dominance in last free practice

Oscar Piastri finished ahead of everyone in the last free practice session of the Mexican Grand Prix, with a time of 1'16''492. Just 59 thousandths behind Lando Norris, for a McLaren one-two that says a lot about the values on the track.
Carlos Sainz, the first of the other drivers, è placed third at 0″340 from the virtual poleman, ahead of Verstappen at 0″511, Hamilton at 0″568 and teammate Charles Leclerc at 0″740.
The Monegasque Ferrari driver, only sixth, was improving at the last possible attempt after the checkered flag, but had to lift his foot off the accelerator because of traffic on the track.
At 11 p.m. Italian time the official qualifying that will determine the grid: on Sunday at 9 p.m. the start of the Grand Prix, round number 20 of the 2024 World Championship.
