Mission accomplished and Champions zone reached again.

Lazio overpowered Genoa, forced at the Olimpico to succumb 3-0 in a one-sided game. Very few headaches for the Biancocelesti, leading after just over 20 minutes and then in control for the rest of the match. The victory allows Marco Baroni’s team to join Atalanta and Udinese on 16 points in the middle of the Champions League zone, while waiting for Juventus’s match on the Inter's field.

After a guest guizzo in the very first minutes (careful Provedel on a stray ball near the goal line), Lazio took courage and came close to taking the lead with Tavares: his aim was too high. The second chance è the good one: Noslin takes advantage of it, who on 21'collects the same Tavares's assist, overtakes Vogliacco and slips Leali with a precise low shot.

Before halftime the same Tavares could double, but then Pedro took care of it at the end of the game. The Spaniard, who took over for Isaksen, had no problem putting back on goal at 86'86; a ball worked by Castellanos and on which Leali had opposed. In between only biancocelesti chances with the same Castellanos, Rovella and Tchaouna. Genoa too timid on the field.

In the minutes of recovery continued not to see a real reaction from the Grifone, so much so that è Leali to deny the tris to Tavares. Lazio però managed to make the gap even wider, going to the net again in 95' with Vecino's framed shot. Genoa remains third-last and waits for Mario Balotelli, the Biancocelesti return to dream of the big boys’ Europe.
