Master 1000 Paris-Bercy: too much Griekspoor for Luciano Darderi
Tallon Griekspoor-Luciano Darderi 6-3 6-4
Luciano Darderi’s path to the Paris-Bercy Masters 1000 comes to an immediate halt. The Italian, in fact, was defeated on his debut by Tallon Griekspoor of the Netherlands, number 39 in the ATP ranking, who won with the final score of 6-3 6-4 after not even an hour of play.
An uphill start for Darderi, who lost his serve already in the second game. Griekspoor, relentless on serve, confirmed the lead (3-0) and kept the break advantage until the final 6-3 with which he filed the first partial.
The music does not change in the second set: in the third game the Dutchman takes the serve away from the blue and goes up 2-1. Darderi never manages to trouble Giekspoor on serve, who manages the lead without any problems and closes the file on 6-4 final.
Darderi thus has to say goodbye to the 'Rolex Paris Masters' in which forò there are still seven Italians in the draw: in addition to Jannik Sinner and Lorenzo Musetti, Flavio Cobolli, Matteo Arnaldi, Matteo Berrettini, Lorenzo Sonego and Fabio Fognini will also be engaged on the Parisian indoor concrete.
