Jannik Sinner trains in Monte Carlo, targets ATP Finals in Turin
He promised it and he did it. Announcing days ago that he would forgo the Paris Bercy Masters 1000 because he was debilitated by a virus, Jannis Sinner said he would stay a while at home in Monte Carlo to start again on Thursday or Friday to train and return to full fitness ahead of the Atp Finals in Turin and the subsequent Davis Cup.
And the world number 1 has in fact already taken up the racket again, as evidenced by a photo and video posted on social media by his coach, Darren Cahill, as he exchanges a few strokes with former Czech tennis player Radek Stepanek.
"Good to be back on the court and at work. See you soon in Turin", the comment from Cahill, who appears in a photo with a smiling Sinner and Stepanek.
The South Tyrolean's schedule then includes moving to Turin for the first training sessions between the Inalpi Arena, home from Nov. 10 of the season's best-eight tournament, and the Circolo della Stampa Sporting.
