He hasn’t played since Poland-Ukraine on June 7

Many are criticizing Giuntoli for not buying a deputy Vlahovic during the summer market. In reality, the Bianconeri top manager thought he did not need one. The idea was to focus on Milik as an alternative to the Serbian center forward. The problem è that the Polish striker has not yet recovered from injury.

In fact, Milik è has been out of action since June 7, the day of the match between his Poland and Ukraine. In that match, the HCL striker è injured. Forced to go under the knife, he underwent selective arthroscopic meniscectomy surgery on the medial meniscus of his left knee.

Recovery seemed to be progressing well and, instead, Milik, last October 2, è was forced to go back under the knife for arthroscopic suturing of the medial meniscal remnant. A new surgery that complicated his return to the field, which, barring unforeseen circumstances, should take place in midà December.

At that point, Milik will haveà a few games to try to put himself in the spotlight and convince Giuntoli to bet on him again as Vlahovic’s deputy. Should he fail to do well, the Pole could be sold to make room for a new center forward to flank the Bianconeri’s No. 9 striker. In short, at the moment there'è only to wait for the return of a player who is missing Thiago Motta so much and is forcing Vlahovic to work overtime.
