Surprise leader in Alps Hockey League
Super Sisak
KHL Sisak continues to make waves in the Alps Hockey League. The newly enrolled lineup, which expanded the Alps to include Croatia, finds itself at the top of the standings for the first time after a 4-1 victory over EC Stadtwerke Kitzbühel, despite playing three fewer games than its closest opponents.
In the summit game against Kitzbühel, Sisak took the lead with two power-play goals in the second period after a goalless first period. Kitzbühel è managed to narrow the gap in the final period, but in the end Sisak took a 4-1 victory.
This was the second close match between the two formations as the Croatians also defeated the same opponents the previous evening with a result of 5 to 1.
