First match and first win for Savino Del Bene Scandicci which defeated C.S.O. in three sets. Voluntari 2005 in the opening match of CEV Champions League.

Coach Gaspari’s team struggled initially to find its measures against the Romanian team, often ahead in the score and able to trouble the Tuscans in the first two partials, both concluded in the final by Savino Del Bene for 25-20. Third fraction instead in complete control for Herbots and companions, leading since the first exchanges. Excellent performance by the Tuscan powerhouses, always well served by an’inspired Ognjenovic; of note then the’season debut for the Russian dunker Kotikova and the class‘07 Magnani.

Happy return of Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri’76 in CEV Challenge Cup. In their European season debut Spirito and teammates conquered the palace of the Spanish team of Cv Sant Cugat bringing home a round 0-3, with two first sets won 17-25 and 21-25 thanks to the decisive stretch in the finals and a third fraction dominated 10-25.

“We started a little bit contracted, maybe due to the’excitement of the debut – the hot comment of Federica Carletti, Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri– The’importantè being able to bring it home in three sets. It’ was my Challenge debut, where I had never played. I am happy, excited and proud of my teammates. We can definitely improve a bit’ our game and we are working on it a lot in training”.
