Milan-Busto Arsizio

Not even time to rest from the victory in the CEV Champions League that the Numia Vero Volley Milano è already ready for a new challenge. Sunday, Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. (live DAZN and VBTV) the meneghine led by coach Lavarini will be back on the court for the seventh day of the Serie A1 Tigotà and they will find on the other side of the net at’Allianz Cloud in Milan, the tenacious lineup of’Eurotek Uyba Busto Arsizio.

On stage a new chapter of a confrontation between two teams that know each other well: in fact, it is challenge number 28 with Busto leading in the count by 14 to 13. On the court also many exes starting with the captain of Milan, Alessia Orro, among the Busto ranks for three seasons (from 2017 to 2020); with her also coach Stefano Lavarini on the bench of Busto just in the’last year of permanence of the meneghina setter.

On the other hand, there are three athletes from’Eurotek Uyba who have worn the Vero Volley jersey: Jennifer Boldini, Josephine Obossa – who won the CEV Cup with Milan in 2021– and Martina Morandi, a young libero who grew up in the Consortium’s youth sector. The bond between Vero Volleyball and Busto’s libero è beyond the court: in fact, the Consortium supports TatticaMente, a research-intervention project on Specific Learning Disorders conceived and designed by the Morandi Foundation of Monza.

After the result in the Champions League and the three championship successes with Chieri, Florence and Perugia, Orro and her teammates aim to continue the positive trend of the last week. Busto also comes to this challenge with three consecutive victories, against Pinerolo, Chieri and Scandicci, which allowed it to rise to eighth place in the standings.
