Real Madrid: no King’s Cup, Ancelotti increasingly at risk

Black moment for Ancelotti. After the’elimination from the Champions League at the hands of the’Arsenal, came the defeat in the Copa del Re final against Barcelona (3-2 the final). As if that were not enough, the blaugrana, next opponents of the’Inter in the Champions League, also lead in La Liga (+4 on the blancos).

In short, it seems really complicated for Ancelotti to think that he can coach the blancos again next season. In fact, Florentino Perez, the president of Real Madrid, has not yet made any decision on the matter but, according to several Spanish media, the Italian coach’s future is already sealed. “My future? It will be a topic for the coming weeks, not for this moment”, the words of Ancelotti himself in the post-match of the King’s Cup final reported by Marca.

Real Madrid would already be sounding the ground in search of a new leader (there is much talk of Klopp, former Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund coach). There would be many other names in play, although, at the moment, they are only rumors.

And what will Ancelotti do? He will almost certainly sit on the Brazil bench. Several times, he has expressed his intention to coach a national team. After winning at the club level, the time may be right to do so. Brazil needs a new leader, and Ancelotti seems the right person to rely on to do well, especially at the World Cup.
