Capitan Orro opens the challenge best with the first point (1-0). She is followed by Sylla who immediately stops the guest attempt to take the lead (2-2). Cazaute’s service turn proves to be effective: in fact, Milan leads the opponents by +4 (8-4) thanks precisely to the French setter, scoring twice in a row, and to the winners of Daalderop and Heyrman. Coach Barbolini then decides to interrupt the game, but at the resumption Cazaute puts her hand back in it with the 9-4 ace. Danesi again increases the gap and with Orro’s acce soon after, Vero Volley takes a 13-7 lead. Busto tries to resist the meneghini attacks, but Daalderop è is more determined and on 15-7 comes the second time-out for the guests, which howeverò does not change the situation. In fact, Heyrman’s monster block registers the maximum advantage for the hosts: +10 (19-9). Eurotek tries to sew up the tear, but first Daalderop and then Cazaute lead Milan to 22-14. Daalderop and Cazaute try to sound the charge for their teammates (12-18), but Van Avermaet puts down her sixth point and 13-20. The Holland-France pair turns out toò win shortly after: first the Dutchwoman goes with the 15-22 ace and then the Frenchwoman scores 16-22, lighting up the whole crowd. Eurotek still wins a chance to close on 17-24, but Sylla returns the “favor” from the previous set and cancels it. Obossa puts her signature on 18-25.

At the start of the third fraction it is again Daalderop and Cazaute who lead Milan and open on 3-3 the first parityà of the challenge. Danesi’s wall tries to break the balance, but Sartori answers for 12-12. Back-to-back wall doubles for Heyrman allow Numia to take some breathing room (16-12). Sylla’s defense allows Daalderop to go all-out and score first 17-14 and then 18-15. The Dutchman è on fire and Vero Volleyball touches 20-16. Danesi turns on again at center and Milan escapes to +5 (22-17). The hosts win five set points, but the first one is not capitalized. Heyrman then sends everyone to the changeover: 25-20 and 2-1 Vero Volleyball.

As in the second set, Busto tries to escape (3-5) and Milan è forced to chase. Sylla’s diagonal serve makes it 5-7, while Orro’s wall records -1 (6-7). Heyrman’s serve completes the comeback and restores parity: 7-7. A new winning attack by Sylla brings a small lead for the Milanese and forces coach Barbolini to call for the 30″. It’s Vero Volley now to take the lead thanks to Cazaute and Danesi (10-8). The’Eurotek è tenacious and made a comeback, finding parity at 12-12. Piva’s ace is answered by Daalderop’s winning run. The Bustoccas again seem to have regained good energy and, despite Daalderop’s power, lead 14-17. After three consecutive Busto points, on 14-19 the Allianz Cloud explodes: Paola Egonu returns to the court after a month of absence and immediately scores her first point: 15-20. Milan from the heart recedes to -3 (18-21), but Van Avermaet does not let herself be frightened and on 18-23 coach Lavarini calls time-out.
