F1 stays in Monaco but with a twist
F1, official: Monaco Grand Prix on the calendar until 2031
Formula 1 remains in Monaco. The Monaco Grand Prix, in fact, will remain on the calendar until at least 2031. This was announced by F1 itself through an official communiqué shared with the Automobile Club of Monaco in which the renewal of the existing contract between the Monegasque GP and F1, due to expire in 2025, was sanctioned.
"I am delighted that Formula 1 will continue to race in Monaco until 2031,” stressed F1 President Stefano Domenicali. The streets of Monte Carlo are unique and an important part for Formula 1, and the Monaco Grand Prix remains a race that all drivers dream of winning. I would like to extend a special thanks to Prince Albert II of Monaco, to Michel Boeri, President of the Automobile Club of Monaco and to all the people involved in the&39;extension of this important partnership".
"This agreement marks a new era of partnership and innovation between Formula 1 and the Principality of Monaco. The commitment of Prince Albert II of Monaco that will also allow us to create an optimized calendar, which reduces pressure on logistics and the environmental impact of our championship, as we continue on the path towards our Net Zero by 2030" closes the number one of Formula 1.
There'è forè a new feature: starting in 2026, the Monaco Grand Prix will change the date on the calendar, moving from the last weekend in May to the first weekend in June. In 2025, however, the Monaco GP will remain on the calendar at the end of May, from the 23rd to the 25th.
