Official: Claudio Ranieri è Roma’s new coach

Following the exoneration of Ivan Juric, Roma has decided to entrust the leadership of the first team to Claudio Ranieri, who will become the Giallorossi coach for the third time in his career. The former Cagliari coach has signed a contract until the end of the season and from July 2025 will join the Capitoline management as an adviser to the ownership for all sports matters.

"L’AS Roma è is pleased to announce that Claudio Ranieri è the new Technical Manager of the First Team. At the end of the season he will assume a senior management role: he will be an advisor to the Ownership for all sporting matters of the club. The search for a new coach will continue in the coming months and Claudio will have a say in this decision as well.

Roman by birth, a lifelong Romanista, having worn the Giallorossi jersey as a player in the 1973-74 season and having served as coach at two different times (from 2009 to 2011 and in 2019), he represents a symbol of the club’s values and è one of the most appreciated Roman sportsmen in the world.

Ranieri brings as a dowry his enormous wealth of knowledge and experience gained between Serie A, Premier League, La Liga and Ligue 1, guiding the best top clubs in Europe and winning historic titles, such as the one he obtained at the helm of Leicester in 2016.

The Club wishes the coach the best of luck in this new chapter of his exciting career, certain that he will represent an added value for the Team and for all of AS Roma.
