Super tie-break extinguishes Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori’s dreams at ATP Finals

Hopes of qualifying to the next stage of the Nitto ATP Finals 2024 for Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori are extinguished at the most beautiful. The Italian pair, in fact, è was defeated by the duo formed by Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic with the score of 6-3 3-6 10-3.
The first set è featured great balance with both pairs managing to keep their turn at bat. The decisive stretch, however, came in the eighth game, where Arevalo and Pavic placed the break at the second attempt, paving the way for winning the first set with a score of 6-3.
In the second set came the rabid reaction of Bolelli and Vavassori, who placed a five-game lead to zero. The world number ones have a minimal reaction, but the Italian pair, strong from the large lead, manages to close the score at 6-3 and take the match to the super tie-break.
In the super tie-break, Bolelli and Vavassori completely disappear from the court and Arevalo and Matic take advantage of this to fly away in the score and close the match with a clear 10-3.
