Once again this year, Dolomiti Superski presents itself in Milan together with all the World Cup Organizing Committees of the Dolomites, in the presence of numerous representatives of the national sports press and authorities. Dolomiti Superski, the largest ski destination in Italy and the 4 local Organizing Committees of the Alpine Ski World Cup, Val Gardena, Alta Badia, Cortina d’Ampezzo and Kronplatz presented themselves to the public, as last year, all together, to emphasize the great competitive and organizational tradition of this mountainous land, the scene of great sporting events for more than half a century as well as the home of countless champions of the various winter sports disciplines.
This year, for the first time, the 7 Organizing Committees of extra alpine skiing World Cups also joined the Press Conference, namely Carezza for Snowboard, Cortina for Snowboard and Snowboardcross, 3 Cime Dolomites and Val di Fassa for Skicross, Dobbiaco and Val di Fiemme for Nordic Ski Tour de Ski and Anterselva for Biathlon. A total of 10 Organizing Committees showed up representing 15 World Cup events with 55 men’s and women’s races, valid for points.

Dolomiti Superski will officially open its season number 50 on Nov. 30 in the areas of Cortina d’Ampezzo, Plan de Corones, 3 Cime Dolomites, Val di Fiemme-Obereggen, Alpe Lusia-San Pellegrino and Civetta. The remaining ski areas, including Sellaronda, will follow on Dec. 5. The Dolomites tourist destination located straddling the provinces of Bolzano, Trento and Belluno operates as many as 450 ski lifts in 12 ski areas, where more than 4 million skiers delight on as many as 1,200 km of slopes each year.
