The drubbing with Inter Milan has left its mark on Hellas Verona, so much so that the possibility of Paolo Zanetti’s dismissal is being floated, should the Gialloblù come back empty-handed from the away match in Cagliari on Friday.
For the Valdagno coach’s replacement, the local press is naming Andrea Mandorlini, who is looking forward to getting back on a bench.
The Romagnolo has already left an indelible mark on Verona’s history, leading the team from the Pro League to Serie A between 2010 and 2013-a goal achieved by the Veneti after 11 years of absence from the most important stage.
Mandorlini’s bond with the city and fans è remained strong over time, as evidenced by the tribute he received at the Bentegodi during his return in 2018.
