Ferrari, Charles Leclerc can’t explain it

After being the fastest in free practice, Charles Leclerc è failed to repeat himself in the Sprint qualifying of the Qatar GP, finishing fifth behind both McLarens. Speaking to the microphones of "Sky Sport F1", the Ferrari driver did not hide his disappointment at the downsizing.

"I am not happy becauseé when you give everything and finish only fourth and fifth is not è great, considering how important this weekend is for us. I don’t know why the free practice session went soì well, while in qualifying we went in line with the forecast, getting back on track" began the Monegasque driver.

"After free practice we had some hope of doing better and instead we didn’t. If we look at free practice we think we can be in the fight for victory, if we look at qualifying we can’t. For now the most representative session è qualifying, so we are not in the best position" added Ferrari’s number 16.

"We end this first day in Qatar with some pessimism, but we cannot predict whatà will happen in qualifying and especially in the race, sinceè every time something different happens" concluded Charles Leclerc.
