Coppa Italia: Bologna drops poker but loses Orsolini
Bologna-Monza 4-0
The round of 16 of the Coppa Italia opened with a victory for Bologna, which beat Monza 4-0 at the Renato Dall’Ara stadium. Two goals per half for the Rossoblù: by Pobega and Orsolini, who immediately after the goal complained of thigh muscle discomfort and è was forced to leave the field, the goals in the first half; by Dominguez and Castro in the second half.
Bologna started off strong right away and after only 4 minutes went close to the lead with Castro but Pizzignacco saved for a corner. Five minutes later Iling-Junior gobbled up the 1-0 lead but on 32’ the hosts went ahead with a great left-footed shot by Pobega from the edge. Three minutes later the Felsinians doubled with a touch underneath by Orsolini, fired into the net by Castro. The blue outfielder per’ hurt his thigh and Dominguez entered in his place.
In the second half, the very newcomer Dominguez signed the triad in 63' with a winning touch from a few steps on Iling-Junior’s cross from the left. At 76' Castro drops the poker for the Rossoblù: served in the area by Dominguez, the Argentine striker moves the ball and kicks beating Pizzignacco.
Thanks to this success, Bologna advances to the quarterfinals where it will meet the winner of the challenge between Atalanta and Cesena, scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo.
