An important success, which is worth overtaking in the standings.

Bologna scrambled Sassuolo at home, and the 3-0 win at the Dall’Ara was worth the definitive overtaking of the neroverdi corregionali, who had already been paired in the standings after a long comeback and now see the rossoblù move up to +3 in the standings and put the swamps of the relegation zone behind them for good.

Bologna started strongly right away, with Arnautovic failing to take advantage of Dominguez’s great assist to beat Consigli. Sassuolo, at least at the start, however, does not seem to want to sit back and makes a threat with Traoré. Who, however, misses everything in front of Skorupski. The latter then denies Pinamonti a goal and a few minutes later exults when, in the 30th minute, Aebischer picks up Lucumi’s assist and with a classy strike puts the Felsinians ahead.

At the beginning of the second half, Sassuolo tried to take back the game with Laurentie frightening Skorupski. Already in the 50th minute, however, Arnautovic effectively closed the game by dribbling past Consigli and signing the double after great work by Soriano. Berardi came in, but it was not enough: there was time instead for the trio, a splendid right-footed return by Ferguson in the 78th minute that sparked the celebration at the Dall’Ara.
